Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a fantastic summer so far and finding ways to stay cool on these crazy hot and humid days we've been having.
I've been busy so far this year and enjoying time with some great people! I had such a good time photographing Isabell and Aaron's wedding in Virginia. What a multicultural family of fun they were. American-German-Australian members enjoyed a wedding in the natural setting of Bell's family home with a beautiful reception in a fantastic ballroom at the Meadowview Convention Center. I hope Bell and Aaron are happy, healthy,(over the jet lag)and comfortably back in their home in Australia. Thank you for choosing me to be a part of and record your special day. Congratulations! I wish you all the happiness in the world.
I had sesssion three of four with Miss Shelby at beautiful Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum on June 17. This girl never ceases to amaze me. She's just as beautiful on the inside as she is outside. I look forward to her final session - although sadly. Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum is such an amazing location and one of Knoxville's best kept secrets. If you want a location with a whimsical quality this is the perfect place for you. Please visit www.knoxgarden.org for more information on this enchanting place in the heart of Knoxville.
On June 26th I photographed the wedding of Bram and Miranda Hyder at historical Magnolia Manor in Lenoir City, TN. Congratulations and I wish you much love and happiness on your journey through life together. It was another incredibly hot and humid day...but the location was perfect with it's incredible sweeping plantation grounds, home, and guest cottage along with a covered coach house for an amazing reception area. Jenky, one the sites owners and event coordinator does an amazing job of organizing your event and showcasing the old world plantation charm of The Magnolia Manor to make your day an unforgettable event. Please visit www.themagnoliamanor.com to plan your next memorable occasion and tell them I sent you!
Yesterday, my husband and I spent the day on the lake boating while awaiting the fireworks show for the July 4th celebration known locally as Rockin' the Docks. I had a fantastic time taking pictures of all our fellow boaters as we gathered in the cove to listen to music by The Superdave 5...I heard there was some great food offered on shore but the real party was on the lake while everyone waited for the fireworks to begin I got some great shots of that show and throughly enjoyed myself...thanks to our friends Chris and Jan for joining us in our celebration! (and for helping us load the boat afterwards when I had a raging headache) Happy Independence Day America! God Bless the U.S.A.
This month I am on schedule with two more appointments before my family and I head off for some much needed vacation time...I'm ready to do absolutely nothing for 10 days but read and relax!
My tech pick for this month is the Photoshop Mobile app for iPhone...for a phone application it packs a lot of punch!
I hope everyone has been spending as much time with their families as possible while their children are on summer break...(one quick tip for staying cool: if you add a little beer to your spray bottle of water- it will cool you off quicker!). Until next time ~ Keep Smilin'
