Let's see...maybe I just spread myself way too thin sometimes...I mean ~ I'm a photographer, a wife, a homeschooling mom, caregiver to two small pets, and Oh! I could go on but you get the picture?!? I also have a few daily projects going that keep me busy...like, I do a project 365...that's where you take a photo everyday and it's displayed on a calendar, it's a great way of challenging yourself on a daily basis. It's similar to keeping a daily journal. It's a very cool project in that you can look back on your week, month, year and have a visual of what you were doing for that day. Another project I do is a daily self-portrait...this one is extremely hard to do everyday because, well...I don't know about you but I just don't feel like looking my best everyday, especially the days when I'm sick! Even those days where I do look and feel half-way decent, doesn't mean I want a picture of myself for that day. I mean, seriously? What if someone sees them? Somehow I have continued to keep up with it, only missing one day, so far. I could just throw my hands up in the air and say, I really don't have to do this, but I made a commitment to both projects and I'm going to do my best to see them through. I may be short on time, but it helps to keep moving, at least in my case!
Ah yes, and the illness...the past couple of weeks I have been so ill I was barely able to raise my head off the couch! I can't tell you how happy I am to be on the road to recovery now. I don't know what happened in our world but it just seems to me that whatever viral thing that comes down the pike is now an extremely powerful strain and it takes forever to get rid of it. Thank you to my doctor and wonderful antibiotics for making me all better.
I have attached a few of the pictures I have done for my project 365...(believe me when I say I didn't work hard on these because I just didn't have the strength)
I almost forgot...the picture below is one of my photographs on a 16 x 20 canvas gallery wrap by my friend, Hugh, at ZaZa Gallery. I met Hugh on twitter and I had to try his work on for size. It's extremely easy to use ZaZa Gallery...you can visit their website here . Basically, contact Hugh via email, with the print you most want as a gallery wrap, attach the photo you want made into a wrap, make your payment, and wait for the arrival of your beautiful print! The quality of work is amazing...and the cost is minimal compared to other print houses. I'm extremely pleased with Hugh's work! If you're interested in a gallery wrap of a photograph from one of my sessions ~ ask about discounted pricing for the month of March. If you do order direct from ZaZa Gallery...please tell Hugh I sent you.
So, now that I'm back on track...be looking for more blogging from me. I may get behind but I'll always catch up again! If you are looking for a photographer for your next special event: maternity, engagement, newborn, senior, pet, or prom...don't hesitate to call me and schedule an appointment!
Until next time ~ keep smiling!
(During this time, my prayers are with Japan and all those affected by the earthquake & tsunami...please keep them in your prayers too)
