Today was an absolutely beautiful Easter Sunday! I have to say I felt fabulous, for the most part anyway, my house was spotless and everything in it's place, the question is, why oh why can't it just stay that way? Sadly I think life might become quite boring if things were to work out that way. But oh how very lovely a thought that can be.
I had to go out and take some pictures today...that little voice inside my head kept nagging at me to go photograph an old barn just up the road from where I now live. It's such an iconic piece of history and I can remember it from way back in my childhood. The barn is literally falling down...I don't know about you; but I've had these voices that tell me when I need to photograph something many times before...I didn't listen a couple of times and now those scenes are forever lost because I didn't act when those little voices kept telling me to get it done. I couldn't miss out on the opportunity to capture this old barn (pictured above). I have several shots but thought I would post just one here as a sneak peek. Others will be posted on my Facebook group page.

Flowers are the sweetest things God ever made, and forgot to put a soul into. ~Henry Beecher
One of the most photographed subjects in photography are flowers! It's one of my favorite subjects. I love to fill the frame with great macro shots of flowers.

Flowers... are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Photography isn't worth the effort unless you are enjoying yourself. Have fun with it. Go out and take some pictures of flora. I'll post some tips on getting the best photographs with flowers in the near future.

Even weeds can make nice photographs!
I'm looking forward to going out in search of more beautiful flowers to photograph tomorrow!
