Moving Forward Into February

With January firmly behind us...let's look forward to February!

Hello my friends and fellow photographers! It's certainly been awhile since I last blogged. I've been a very busy girl! Not only do I photograph people, places, and things...I also homeschool a 13 year old, take care of my husband, cook, clean, do laundry, call the doctor, talk to phone solicitors, pay the bills, grocery shop and just about any other job a regular wife and mom does on a daily basis. Now don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining and I'm definitely not trying to toot my own horn...I'm just saying I'm like all other women in that I have A LOT on my plate everyday. When you don't hear from me in awhile, it's just that I'm out there trying to juggle it all just like you...I will eventually return.

Lately, you can say the weather hasn't been very conducive to taking outdoor photographs. Although, I have to admit I'm a little thankful for that...it's hard to not be doing what brings you so much joy! I have some upcoming photo sessions I'm extremely excited about and they are scheduled for indoors. I'm very thrilled to be using my studio equipment to do some indoor photography for a change. One aspect of taking indoor photos is that you can use props to enhance the look of your picture, not really necessary, but the ambiance you can create with just a few little props makes the process all the more fun! So...because I have these sessions in the near future, I have spent a major amount of time online doing some extensive research (never approach anything without spending time reading and learning everything you can about it or you are surely just setting yourself up for failure...at least that's my philosophy) and after doing that research, I spent even more time browsing online stores and some local antique shops to purchase some of the absolute cutest photography props EVA! I have no doubt my upcoming newborn session will be one extremely adorable photo shoot with some amazing results.

I will also have some excited news coming up regarding a new marketing campaign designed specifically for women...hopefully, I will be able to launch that campaign and new side to my business sometime around mid-April or the first of March! Please be looking for it! I'm pretty excited about it and I'm sure you will be too!
